Anis Koubaa

An Overview of AI-Powered IoT Smart Systems
Robotics and Internet of Things Research Lab, Saudi Arabia
4, Jul, 2019 10:00-11:00 (1 hour)
CISTER, Porto, Portugal

In this talk, Anis Koubaa will provide an overview of his current research about developing smart systems for the Internet-of-Things by leveraging the power of artificial intelligence, namely deep learning. Anis will discuss how the evolution of current network and communication technologies in addition to the cloud computing systems are promoting AI-applications for the Internet-of-Things, where the cloud acts as a remote brain.

Anis Koubaa is a Research Professor in Computer Science, Advisor to the Rector, and Leader of the Robotics and Internet of Things Research Lab, in Prince Sultan University. He is also an Integrated Researcher in CISTER/INESC TEC and ISEP-IPP, Porto, Portugal, and R&D Consultant at Gaitech Robotics in China and He has been the Chair of the ACM Chapter in Saudi Arabia since 2014.
