Chill-Out Session
Friday Evening is reserved for the Chill-Out Session at Taylor’s in Vila Nova de Gaia, on the other side of the River.
After the panel discussion we are going to embark onto the last stretch of social events of the conference. First we will head out to the Caís de Gaia using the Metro and the Teleférico cable car and from there we will walk up to Port Wine Cellars, where we are going to have a tour through the cellars explaining how Port is made. Sure we will sample Port Wine and have a great dinner. It will form a magnificent conclusion of ECRTS’11.
How to get there
We will meet at the Registration Desk at 18:00. Take the Metro Line D to “Jardim do Morro”, the stop just across the “Ponte Luis I” (Tourist Map Reference Number 99). The Teleférico cable car terminal is just across the Metro station. Students will chaperone small groups down to the Cais and lead the way up to Taylor’s.
The visit to the Taylor's cellars starts at 19:00.
Dinner starts at 20:00 at Taylor's restaurant (a.k.a. Barão de Fladgate Restaurant), it will end at around 21:30.
