The photos of Carlos Medeiros exhibited in the Noble Hall go back to previous times, around the 1930’s and 1940’s, by the première of Cocteau’s monologue, provoking an initial scandal and then an unusual success. Inspired by the imaginary of film noir, using drama shadows and high contrast, Insomnia offers a dense narrative, with no end. A silent telephone, a closed window, and hours passing through on the wall clock: everything here expresses an abandoned woman waiting and perhaps desperate.
