This year, FITEI celebrates its 40th edition. It is a date that must be celebrated because the journey of this Festival was made possible with a lot of work, commitment, commotions, sacrifice, dedication and love for the theatre. It also deserves to be celebrated because the city of Porto had in its historical Festival, during long periods of these last 40 years, one of the few and sometimes the only offer of international theatre in the city. In addition, FITEI was able to show the most important plays in Portugal and in the Iberian-American space in the last 40 years
