Cláudio Maia

PhD Student

Cláudio Maia is a researcher at the CISTER Research Unit with a bachelor's and a master's degree in Computer Science Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Oporto.

Previously he was a researcher and software engineer at Critical Software S.A. where he participated in several projects in areas such as mobile and wireless communication systems and manufacturing systems. Moreover, he has participated in European projects including FP6 Ambient Networks and FP6 XPRESS project.

Currently he is pursuing a Ph.D. where he is studying different possibilities of exploring parallelism in new multi-core architectures in the presence of real-time constraints.

His main research interests are distributed systems and operating systems.
