It will provide a relaxed forum to present and discuss new ideas, new research directions, and to review current trends in this area. The workshop will involve short presentations and a poster session to encourage discussions by the conference attendees. The scope of the JRWRTC 2012 includes, but is not limited to, the following areas and challenges: * real-time system design and analysis: - task and message scheduling - modeling - verification - evaluation - model-driven development - worst-case execution time estimation - distributed systems - fault tolerance - quality of service - security * infrastructure and hardware for real-time systems: - wired and wireless communication networks - fieldbuses - networked control systems - sensor networks - power-aware scheduling * software technologies for real-time systems: - compilers - programming languages - middleware and component-based technologies - operating systems - databases * real-time applications: - automotive - avionics - telecommunications - process control - multimedia ===== Important dates ===== * Submission deadline: Sept. 23, 2012 * Notification of acceptance: Oct. 1, 2012 * Final manuscript due: Oct. 8, 2012 * Conference: Nov. 8-9, 2012 ===== Best Paper Award ===== The best paper will be rewarded by the "Best Paper Award" and its first author will be offered an IPad 3! ===== Workshop chairs ===== Vincent Nelis (CISTER/ISEP, Portugal) Frederic Fauberteau (CEA LIST, France) ===== Program committee ===== Matthieu Lemerre (CEA LIST, France) Thomas Megel (Telecom ParisTech, France) Manar Qamhieh (UPEMLV, France) Jose Marinho (CISTER/ISEP, Portugal) Younes Chandarli (UPEMLV, France) Ian Gray (RTSG/CS, York, UK) Gurulingesh Raravi (CISTER/ISEP, Portugal) Abusayeed Saifullah (DCSE/WUSTL, USA) Yue Lu (MDH, Sweden) Geoffrey Nelissen (ULB, Belgium) Dakshina Dasari (CISTER/ISEP, Portugal) Mike Holenderski (TU/e, Netherlands) Vinicius Petrucci (UFF, Brazil) ===== Paper Submission Guidelines ===== Paper submissions should be up to 4 pages, 2-columns, following the IEEE conference proceedings format (font >= 10 points), in a PDF document. Every submission must be co-authored by at least one junior researcher. A separate booklet containing the proceedings will be available at the conference and on the web page of the conference. Please consult the website of the 20th International Conference on Real-Time and Network Systems (rtns2012.loria.fr) for further information on the available templates, registration, venue and hotel reservations.
