In this technical report we survey some relevant results for the priority-based schedulability analysis of real-time tasks, both for the fixed and for the dynamic priority assignment schemes. We give emphasis to the worst-case response time analysis in non pre-emptive contexts, since that analysis is of paramount importance to the message schedulability analysis in communication networks.
